Hi there! 👋I’m Ian, a divemaster, adventure outfitter and the founder of Revel Outfitting. I’ve spent the better part of the past decade helping people get outside and chase their greatest adventures.I started Revel Outfitting because I was frustrated with the overwhelming amount of lousy gear resources found online. As a former expedition manager for National Geographic, it pained me to see how much my friends were overpaying for their jackets, packs, and outdoor equipment. Having saved hundred of thousands of dollars for expeditions around the world, I thought it was only right to share the knowledge I’ve accumulated over my career with fellow outdoor enthusiasts.I have one goal here at Revel Outfitting - to help you choose the gear you need and save money on your next adventure.

Phase 1: Research Call - 30minWe'll start with a deep dive into the activities you’d like to pursue.I'll ask about your past experiences, goals and budget, lifestyle, and current gear ownership. We’ll get to know each other and set a plan for your next adventure.Phase 2: Equipment Recommendation & ShoppingBased on the analysis from Phase 1, I'll assemble a recommended shopping list for you, highlighting product features and explaining each item in detail.I'll identify brands and retailers that match your budget, skill level and desired activity. You'll know exactly where to shop, and I’ll provide you with suggestions on how to purchase each item (in store or online).In addition to this, I’ll provide you with access to my personal database of outdoor resources, including major sale dates, information on pro deals, the best resources to plan your next adventure, and tips on how to leverage credit cards and memberships to make the most of your money.For clients interested in scuba diving, we’ll cover dive training and industry organizations in addition to the above.Phase 3: Follow up & Ongoing SupportFor two weeks after our appointment, you’ll have me on-call as your personal outdoor advisor (via text and email).
